Lettings normally run from Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am. Other arrangements and longer lettings may be possible, especially in low season - please enquire.
See right for the cost of weekly rental. Additionally, a ‘good housekeeping’ and electricity deposit of £100 per week is also payable, the balance of which is refunded as a cheque in the post during the week after your stay.
In the interest of encouraging environmentally sustainable consumption, electricity is is charged according to meter readings. From late May to early September, this will typically be less than £10 per week, but even in the ‘depths of winter’ will not normally exceed £20-£25, depending on the weather and personal factors. Logs and kindling dried and ready for the stove can be purchased from us - again, at cost. (As a guide, £15 of kindling and logs will be sufficient for four evenings.)
Upon receiving your provisional reservation (by email, phone or post), I’ll send a booking form. You should return the form (within ten days to be sure of retaining your reservation) together with a cheque for 25% of the total sum (ie tariff + good housekeeping deposit) payable for your holiday: by doing so you are entering into a contract: for more on this, click here.
The balance is payable six weeks before the start of your holiday: I’ll send to you a reminder with a statement of account a week or more beforehand.
When I have received your final payment, I will send arrival/departure information.
For bookings of two weeks or more there is a £20 discount off the tariff for the second and each subsequent week. This is on the basis that any laundering required during your stay of bedding, towels etc is done by yourself.
For babies and toddlers we can on request provide travel-type cot or high chair: these are charged at £10pw for either or £15pw for both.
